Glamping, Rockhound Style
I went with a couple of mineral clubs on a big group trip to National
Limestone Quarries in Snyder County, PA to collect shiny crystals. We
got to the top of a mountain overlooking one of the quarries, looking
for wavellite. Someone who was there before told us to "Look for the
fossils. If you see green, crack it open." Oh, the horror! I did,
however, manage to have my cake and eat it, too, as it were. How's this
4cm trilobite for a lovely X to mark the spot? Age and formation are
unknown.
